Pennant Report - Another Win

Ranfurlie defeated Chirnside Park 4.5 - 2.5 last Sunday in a close finish decided on the final hole with one match halved and one match won. Our next opponent is Patterson River at their course in the remaining fixture this Sunday, Teeing off at 11:15am.

A Victory or draw will guarantee a place in the finals and automatic promotion to Division 4. Members are encouraged to attend and support their team, which we are one of just two undefeated teams in the top five divisions of Victorian Men's Pennant golf this season.

Easter Trading Hours

Easter at Ranfurlie - Saturday 19th April - 2 Ball Ambrose Event

On Saturday over the Easter break, Ranfurlie will be hosting a special 2 Ball Ambrose event. Teams of two (playing in a group of 4) will play Ambrose format, with handicaps divided by four.

For groups of three, a separate 3 Ball Ambrose competition will be run, however, the main event will be focused on the 2 Ball format. We kindly ask all players to make every effort to organise themselves into groups of four for the day.

Also on Saturday 19th April, between 10am and 3pm, members can enjoy a sausage in bread with toppings from the Sports Bar - one per member. 

We look forward to seeing everyone out on the course over the Easter holidays!

Women's Clinics Update

We were excited to see 13 participants from our Term 1 Ranfurlie Women's Beginner Clinics join Our Lead Professional Jack Cox for a 9 hole round this past Friday 4th April. 

"It was a great way to cap off what we learnt these past 8 weeks" one attendee while enjoying refreshments after the round.

Bunker rakes

Members please note the impact of leaving the bunker rake hanging on the edge of the bunker as picture to the right. This can be the result of a Bunker rake left like this.

All members are reminded to place the bunker rake back towards the center of the bunker after raking their shot and footprints.

Broken Rakes

We’ve recently seen a concerning increase in broken rakes on the course, many of which appear to have been deliberately damaged. 

This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. We draw on any members who witness such actions to report them immediately to the Pro Shop, which can be anonymous if required. Offenders will face serious consequences, including possible suspension or expulsion from the Club.

RARE ALBATROSS SPOTTED AT RANFURLIE – NO BINOCULARS REQUIRED

Rare Albatross sighting, last Saturday we had on of our Members David Donovan achieve a rare golf score, obtaining an Albatross on the 8th Hole. At first the group thought the nice Hybrid shot down the fairway was lost, but on approach the group in front confirmed the ball was in the hole. That's a 2 on a Par-5. 

For his efforts David has received a credit to his account and his name up with the Hole in ones on the TV honour board. 

Well done Dave !!

My Golf - Come & Try Free Girls Clinic - Friday 18th April

Thanks to the support of Golf Australia and the PGA, Ranfurlie Golf Club is excited to offer a free clinic for girls aged 6 to 15 on Friday 18th April (4pm to 5pm).

TWO SESSIONS AVAILABLE

  • 3pm–4pm **NEW SESSION**
  • 4pm–5pm **FULLY BOOKED**

This fantastic initiative aims to inspire and encourage young girls to get involved in the game of golf. The clinic will be led by our Head Teaching Professional, Jack Cox PGA.

We look forward to welcoming the next generation of golfers to Ranfurlie!

Such objections shall be considered by the Board, whose decision shall be final.

Please note members on Monthly direct debits, now have just 7 days after their payment defaults to fixup their missing payment before having their membership suspended. Members in this situation can reactivate their account at any time by paying either online, or at the Ranfurlie Pro Shop or Sports Bar tills.

If you have new payment details to update, or you are having financial difficulty please contact membership early to assist at.

We ask that members please be aware that paying your invoices online subjects you to a small surcharge of 1.65% plus 0.55c. If you wish to avoid this fee, you can pay your invoices in person at the Pro Shop or over the phone.
