Pennant Report

All 3rd round matches at Churchill Waverley GC last Sunday were abandoned due to persistent heavy rain and flooded green. No points were awarded and the contest moves to Yarrambat GC this Sunday where Ranfurlie take on current ladder leaders Yering Meadows, teeing off from 11:15am.

Member Notice: Upcoming Event Impact on Booking Availability

Over the next two weeks, member booking availability will be limited due to scheduled special events - Please take note of the following:

  • Friday, 21st March - Midday Charity Day

    • Full shotgun start at midday.
    • Limited morning tee times available (9 holes only) from 7:52 am to 9:30 am.
    • All 24 carts are booked for the midday event.

  • Friday, 28th March - Morning Corporate Day

    • 8am Partial shotgun start in the morning.
    • Limited member tee times off the 10th tee from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
    • Afternoon timesheet available as normal off the 1st tee from midday onward

  • Sunday, 30th March - Ranfurlie Division 5 Pennant Hosting

    • Matches begin from 11:15am off both tees
    • A limit of only 56 spaces are available for members in the morning from 7.30am
    • We look forward to our Division 5 team at home on Sunday 30th having every chance of taking away a win on that day.

We recommend members investigate using their reciprocal privilege's either via Bay Golf Cards or our partnered GSM golf courses for any of these days.  

With the above arrangements in place, the Sunday Summer Order of Merit will conclude one week early on Sunday 23rd March so the whole field has every chance of making their last points count for victory.

Bunker Rake Reminder

A reminder to all members, once the bunker has been raked straight after a shot, the rake is to be returned as close to the middle of the bunker as possible.

Some players are regularly placing the bunker rake either outside the bunker or as shown below half in and half out. Members are reminded as a group to pull up bad course etiquette such as this, and repeat offenders shall face disciplinary action.

Current Members may lodge a written objection to any application, addressed to the Golf Services Manager, Andrew Bourne abourne@ranfurlie.com.au

Such objections shall be considered by the Board, whose decision shall be final.

Please note members on Monthly direct debits, now have just 7 days after their payment defaults to fixup their missing payment before having their membership suspended. Members in this situation can reactivate their account at any time by paying either online, or at the Ranfurlie Pro Shop or Sports Bar tills.

If you have new payment details to update, or you are having financial difficulty please contact membership early to assist at.

We also ask any members that have a fitted pacemaker device to please also contact Renae in Membership to create a list in the event of a Defibrillator required.
