NOTICE TO MEMBERS OF RANFURLIE GOLF CLUB
Dear Members,
As we approach the close of another remarkable year, we would like to reflect on what has been an extraordinary period of growth and progress for Ranfurlie Golf Club. The Board remains steadfast in its commitment to continuous improvement of both the Course and its facilities, ensuring the Club continues to provide a premium experience for all members.
A Year of Progress and Investment
One of the most significant milestones this year was the decision to bring the Maintenance Team in-house. This bold step has proven to be a massive advancement for the Club and has directly contributed to the course being in the best condition it has been in for many years. The Board extends its gratitude to our dedicated team, headed by Course Superintendent Andrew Anderson, whose efforts and expertise have delivered outstanding results.
To further demonstrate the Board's commitment to our members, significant investments have been made into both the Course and the Ranfurlie Driving Range. These investments reflect our unwavering focus on innovation, quality, and member satisfaction. The following projects and upgrades have been successfully completed or are currently underway:
- Renovation of the Course Maintenance Sheds - providing improved facilities for our Maintenance Team to deliver their best work.
- Installation of InRange Flight Tracking Technology - enhancing the Driving Range experience with world-class entertainment and performance tracking.
- Upgrades to Range Surfaces - ensuring the Range continues to meet the highest standards for members and guests.
- New Equipment:
- 3.5-ton Kobelco Excavator used for landscaping, golf course maintenance, and small-scale earthmoving.
- The Club's new Seeder has been used on the driving range and is now sowing the new "Ranfurlie Blend" fescue, designed by Course Superintendent Andrew Anderson.
- An Autonomous Fairway Mower - the first of its kind in Australia, setting a new standard for golf course management.
- An Autonomous Range Ball Collector - another Australian first, increasing efficiency and sustainability.
- An Autonomous Rough Cutter to maintain rough areas with precision and reliability.
- GPS Rover Technology to improve course monitoring and maintenance.
- Replacement of lockers in both the Men's and Women's changing rooms.
- Upgrades to the Rainbird Irrigation Control System - ensuring effective and sustainable water management across the Course.
- Errant Ball Netting Trial Installation - recently installed on the Driving Range to improve safety and functionality. The Board will assess the success of this trial and consider further rollout along the 9th hole and fairway.
These strategic projects and acquisitions represent an exciting new era for Ranfurlie, positioning the Club at the forefront of golf innovation in Australia.
