88th Annual General Meeting: A Night to Remember

Last night, the Club held its 88th Annual General Meeting, and it was a resounding success. A record 111 members attended, joined by guests and staff, marking the highest attendance in years. The evening kicked off with delicious finger food, free drinks, and an exciting chance to win 2025 membership subs! A big congratulations to Gold Member Steve Carter, who was the lucky winner, with his name drawn by Life Member Brian Topp.

Throughout the evening, members heard insightful updates from President Graeme Percy, Captain Adam Scott, Vice-Captain Kevin Nolan, and Treasurer Will Carter. While members valued the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the Board, the star of the night was undoubtedly the formal introduction of Course Superintendent Andrew Anderson. His hard work, along with that of his new team, has led to remarkable improvements to the course's playing surfaces over the last 10 months-earning well-deserved applause from everyone.

The meeting concluded with the election of new Board Members. The ballots were counted by Returning Officer and Life Member Albert Gigl, alongside General Manager Jodie Rohan, and the Board thank both Albert and Jodie for their diligent completion of this important task.

Re-elected for a further three-year term were existing Vice President Steve Wright and Board Members Kevin Nolan and Mick Kerin. The Board also expressed its gratitude to Nigel Roberts for his candidacy and interest in contributing to the Club's success.

A total of 186 ballots were received with the results as follows:

  • Mick Kerin:                  131 votes
  • Kevin Nolan:                108 votes
  • Nigel Roberts:              103 votes
(There were 12 invalid ballots, and three blank ballots received.)

The Board extends its sincere thanks to all members who voted in the election and those who attended the AGM. The year ahead promises exciting developments, and we are all eager to see how both the Course and the Club will continue to evolve and thrive in the coming months.
