This year's AGM will coincide with a New Members Welcome Night starting at 6pm, creating an opportunity to meet and engage with new members. 

Prize Draw: All eligible voting members in attendance will be entered into a draw where one lucky winner will receive their subscription fees for the following year at their current membership level – completely free!

Commemorative Bag Tag: Members with 25 or more years of continuous membership will have the chance to collect a special Ranfurlie Bag Tag.

This is a reminder that this Saturday, the entire field will be playing 4BBB Stableford. Players will have the option to either use the Mi Score App or traditional pre-printed scorecards for the event.

Unfortunately both divisions were cancelled last Friday due to the deluge of rain that Melbourne region received. This Friday 25th October we are the hosting club for both events with Ranfurlie to take on Rossdale.

We wish both teams the very best for their matches, and we're confident they'll put in strong performances!

What Does This Change Mean?

In the past, the absence of a dedicated match play index meant that players had to compete using their full daily handicaps. This required using all the holes where strokes were allotted, resulting in some imbalances, particularly between the front and back nine.

However, for 2025, now that we have the universal index on our scorecard, we will be returning to the Traditional match play method:

• The player with the lowest handicap will play off scratch (zero handicap).
• The difference between the low marker and other players' handicaps will determine the number of strokes the higher-handicapped player receives.
• These strokes will be applied according to the Universal Index shown on the scorecard.

This adjustment ensures fairer competition and a smoother experience for all match play participants.

The Pro Shop team is kindly requesting the return of the MGI Demo Buggy battery that was borrowed a little while ago and hasn't been returned.

This battery is important for assisting members who require help on the course and for those interested in trialing the MGI buggy before purchasing. There will be no trouble in returning it - we simply need it back to continue providing these services.

Such objections shall be considered by the Board, whose decision shall be final.

Please note members on Monthly direct debits, now have just 7 days after their payment defaults to fixup their missing payment before having their membership suspended. Members in this situation can reactivate their account at any time by paying either online, or at the Ranfurlie Pro Shop or Sports Bar tills.

If you have new payment details to update, or you are having financial difficulty please contact membership early to assist at.

We also ask any members that have a fitted pacemaker device to please also contact Renae in Membership to create a list in the event of a Defibrillator required.
