Driving Range Closures Next Week

Due to the golf club undergoing extensive geotechnical testing of our driving range soil, please be advised that the driving range will be closed for two full-days on:

Monday October 14^th
Tuesday October 15^th

We apologise for the inconvenience.

Junior Pennant - Sunday 13th

The Junior Pennant kicks off this Sunday at 12:30pm, spectators and supporters are welcome to come down and cheer our team on.

Foursomes Championship - 1st Round Saturday 12th October (No prior entry required for scratch entrants)

In readiness for this high profile event, Gold, Life, Junior, 18-25, 26-35 and 7 Day Corporates are reminded that this year the whole field will be playing nett Foursomes. In order to enter the Scratch Foursomes Championship, there will be an extra tick box on the manual entry sheet players will need to check.

PLEASE NOTE: Only teams of 4 can play in this competition, therefore please avoid groups of 3's or 2's as you will not be able to play any competition on the day (but you are welcome to play 18 holes of golf).

All players will be using manual cards, therefore the MI Score App will not be used.

Senior Pennant Round 1 Results

We had some good news and some not so good news that came from both our teams competing at Woodlands last Friday against Keysborough golf club. Our John Philp handicap division won convincingly 4 & 1, while our Ron Budge team had their first loss 6 & 1.

It is a reminder to all teams that matches in the home and away season finish on the 18th Hole - WIN, LOOSE or DRAW, only in finals does it go extra holes.

We look towards a stronger result from the Ron Budge this coming Friday at The National Gunnamatta Course versing Woodlands on both accounts.

Scorers for PGA Regional Finals at Ranfurlie

We are putting the word out for any volunteers who would like to be scorers for the PGA Scramble regional finals at Ranfurlie this coming Monday 14th October.

The club are required to offer 2 of our members for volunteering on the day. There is no cost to you and lunch will be provided after the round. Please note the Ranfurlie teams are playing elsewhere, these teams will be from other clubs.

Due to this event the Course will be closed until about 1.30pm.

RANFURLIE TEAM FINISHED 5th at Eynesbury GC!

Ranfurlie's Regional Scramble team consisting of our members Peter Kane, Mark Halas, Cam Dinger, Renee Vincent & our PGA Professional Jack Cox played at Eynesbury Golf Club last Monday 7th October.

The star studded team managed a respectable 57.2 nett which was good enough to finish 5th out of 21 teams, however sadly came up short of winning a place at the National Final event next month in Queensland. Great effort team!

It is with great sadness we inform members of the passing of long standing member Norma Spalding. Our thoughts go out to Norma's Friends and Family at this time.

2025 Final - Muirfield N.S.W Amitee Event

Members please note the entry form for the final ever Amitee event has been released, with all entries to be paid and submitted by November 1st, 2024.

There is a minimum requirement of 20 participants from each club in order for the event to go ahead, so please send the message to any current and previous Amitee participants that are no longer members as they have been given an invitation as well to be part of this very special finale.

Top Gun Tuesday Season Commences October 15

Top Gun Tuesday will be commencing on October 15th and runs through to early March 2024!

Win weekly prizes, accumulate points, and strive to qualify for the Top 10 Final in early March 2025 by participating at least 4 times during the season.

The Final will feature an exciting 9 Hole knockout format with fantastic prizes up for grabs throughout the season. To enter, simply book your group on the relevant nine and register at the Pro Shop for $5.

Twilight 9 Hole Competition Golf Begins Tuesday October 18

Join the Spring & Summer excitement at Ranfurlie! Play in the 'Twilight 9' competition for just a $5 entry, available from 3:30pm to 6pm on Tuesdays & Fridays.

Scores will be handicapped based on future 9-hole rounds from the alternate nine. Win weekly credits, with results available the next day. Teeing off after 5pm? Drop your scorecards upstairs in the Member's Lounge slot or use the MI Score app. Please note, those members wishing to just play socially, will be able to book tee times off the alternate 9 holes from 4pm each week.

Longest Day at Ranfurlie (Monday Dec 9)

Ranfurlie and Amstel Club are pleased to be supporting with this wonderful cause and hosting our own longest day on Monday 9th December for Members and their guests only!

With limited spots, this is a great initiative to raise much needed funds to a worthy cause.

To provide an even greater boost for the event, Amstel Club will be generously matching member's donations.

Such objections shall be considered by the Board, whose decision shall be final.

Please note members on Monthly direct debits, now have just 7 days after their payment defaults to fixup their missing payment before having their membership suspended. Members in this situation can reactivate their account at any time by paying either online, or at the Ranfurlie Pro Shop or Sports Bar tills.

If you have new payment details to update, or you are having financial difficulty please contact membership early to assist at.

We also ask any members that have a fitted pacemaker device to please also contact Renae in Membership to create a list in the event of a Defibrillator required.
