Notice to Ranfurlie Golf Members: Upcoming Annual General Meeting

You are cordially invited to attend the 88th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Amstel Golf Club Incorporated, to be held at Ranfurlie Golf Club on: 

Date: Thursday, 24th October 2024 

Time: 7:00 PM 

Location: Ranfurlie Golf Club 

Refreshments: Beer, wine and finger food provided. 

This year’s AGM will coincide with a New Members Welcome Night, creating an opportunity to meet and engage with new members. As an additional incentive, a prize draw will be held for all eligible voting members who attend. The winner will receive their subscription fees for the following year at their current level of membership— completely free. 

Also on the night for any continuous 25 year or more members, they will have the opportunity of collecting a very special commemorative Ranfurlie Bag Tag.

1. Confirmation of the minutes of the 87th Annual General Meeting held on 12th October 2023.

2. Presentation of Reports.

3. Appointment of an Auditor for the ensuing year.

4. To transact any other business of which due notice shall be given in writing to the Secretary at least seven (7) days before the meeting

5. Confirmation of the results of the election for three (3) Board positions. 

• Members are advised that three (3) positions will be up for election, with Steven Wright, Mick Kerin, and Kevin Nolan re-standing for their current positions.
• Members can nominate to run for a Board position by contacting Amstel Group's Managing Director, Daniel Muir, via email daniel@amstel.org.au
  and requesting a nomination form.
  
• Nominations must be received by 5:00pm on Monday, 7th of October 2024. No late applications will be accepted.

6. Proposed Constitutional Change:

• Align 6-day (Silver) membership fees at 80% of 7-day (Gold) membership fees and 5-day (Bronze) membership fees at 60% of 7-day (Gold) membership fees. 
  
• A Temporary Rule will be introduced to discount the fee increase for existing 5-day (Bronze) members who joined on or before the date of the fee structure change. The discount will be applied as follows: 
  
  
• Year 1: Two-thirds (2/3) of the fee increase will be discounted. 
  
  
• Year 2: One-third (1/3) of the fee increase will be discounted. 
  
  
• Year 3: Members will pay the full fee at the adjusted rate.

• This temporary rule does not apply to 6-day (Silver) members, as their fee increase  is minimal in comparison to Bronze members.

We encourage you to attend this important meeting, where key decisions affecting the future of the Club will be made. Your participation is vital to the continued success and growth of our Club.

Voting Information:

Only Financial Members of the General Body of Members (except Provisional, Lifestyle, Flexi 1, Access, and Junior Members) are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting.

New Members Night - Thursday 24th October 6pm

Preceding the AGM there will be a new members information night starting from 6pm. Established members are welcome to attend to meet and greet some of our new members that have come on board over the past 12 months.
